Overview
Some websites inform. Some sell. Bethel Films needed one that felt like stepping into a quiet, golden afternoon and didn't let go. 📸
Bethel Films is a photography and videography studio born in the mountain valleys of Gunma, Japan. Built around one belief: that the most meaningful moments aren't staged, they're found. Weddings, engagements, pre-debut shoots, family portraits, they capture all of it with warmth, patience, and a real eye for the in-between.
The brief wasn't just to build a portfolio website. It was to build an experience that felt like the work itself, unhurried, intimate, and beautiful from the very first scroll. An ongoing project built entirely in Framer, this site had to do justice to photography that already speaks for itself.
Bethel Films had stunning work and a growing list of happy clients but no website that could match the emotion behind their photography. A generic portfolio template wouldn't cut it. The site needed to feel like Bethel Films: warm, cinematic, and quietly confident.
For a studio whose entire value proposition is capturing beautiful moments, a forgettable website was more than just a missed opportunity, it was a contradiction. The design had to be as intentional as every shot they take.
Built an entirely custom Framer website — no templates, designed from the ground up
Led with a cinematic hero section: full-bleed imagery, a scroll-driven headline, and immediate visual impact
Designed the site to feel as unhurried and intimate as Bethel Films' shooting style
Showcased featured portfolio work across 4 categories: Weddings, Engagements, Commercial & Portrait Sessions
Wove in real, glowing client testimonials to build trust with warmth rather than hard sell
Built dedicated pages for Services, Portfolio, Pricing, About, and Contact — a complete studio presence
Used motion and image sequencing to create a browsing experience that feels like flipping through a photo album
Kept the UI minimal and editorial so nothing competes with the photography itself
Bethel Films now has a website as beautiful as the moments they capture. ✦
Couples and families who land on the site don't just see a portfolio, they feel something. The site sets the tone before a single inquiry is sent, doing what great photography does: making you stop, feel, and want more. That's exactly the kind of first impression a creative studio deserves.
